About Me:
I am a freelance Makeup artist living in Vancouver B.C. I moved to Vancouver in Dec, 07 to attend the Makeup artistry diploma program at Blanche Macdonald. After graduating in Nov, 08 I soon discovered a passion for airbrushing and continue to practice whenever possible.
Since Feb, 08 I have been Volunteering with The Beauty Night Society. The Beauty Night Society is a Non- profit organization that offers wellness programs to marginalized women and youth. I volunteer weekly for Makeover program and facilitate the outreach programs. Through the Beauty Night Society I have had the chance to work with many great hairdressers, photographers and other makeup artists. It also gives me a chance to practice my makeup techniques, grow my hairstyling skills and work on my mini manicure efficiency .
I am usually found airbrushing at club events such as the Luv-a-fair. I am also working for a company called mehndi and more, where I have learned skills such as mehndi and facepainting.
Recently I have been trying to get more experience in Film And build my portfolio. In July I started job shadowing a local T.V. makeup artist.
In the future I plan to continue body painting at different events. I would also like to start working as a T.V. makeup artist.
